PHYSIO FACTS: Things Used to Strengthen Muscles While Rehabbing
Did you know…

You don’t have to spend a fortune on exercise equipment in order to get good results.
We are often stuck in a mindset that we have to invest a lot of money into bulky exercise equipment at home or get locked into expensive gym memberships.
It doesn’t have to be expensive, and there are indeed different methods used to strengthen muscles regardless of your budget.
Here are some different things that you can consider using:
Small free weights
Resistance Bands
Your own body weight (exercises without weights)
Basic exercise machinery
Electrical stimulation equipment
Regular household items (soup cans, milk bags)
The challenge may not be finding the tools to work out with, but finding someone who can guide you in a safe and structured manner. That’s where your physiotherapist comes into play and can let you know what equipment will work best for you and what which particular exercise are the most important for you to do during your rehab.
At APPTS, we have a range of strengthening tools, electronic muscle stimulation devices, advanced exercise equipment, basic weights and resistance bands that we can bring straight to you. Most often than not, we can even improvise with the items you already have around the house!
If this sounds interesting to you, please feel free to contact us!
